The Pumpkinvine Nature Trail has earned some national recognition recently.
The trail was awarded Best Recreational Trail in the USA Today 10Best readers’ choice awards.
Two other local destinations also placed high, with the Elkhart RiverWalk and the town of Middlebury each finishing sixth in their categories.
Tourism officials say the honors highlight years of investment and community pride.
The Pumpkinvine topped trails across the country, while the RiverWalk and Middlebury stood out among nationally known destinations, showcasing northern Indiana as a travel hotspot.
