Governor Mike Braun and Eli Lilly are teaming up to bring nuclear energy to Indiana.
The two signed a letter of intent today to explore small modular reactors and other advanced technologies to boost the state’s power grid.
Governor Braun says making Indiana a nuclear leader will drive down energy prices for households while supporting the state’s massive industrial growth.

Yeah, sure, small ones…bring in the big ones too! We should have done this decades ago and would have if not for the commies who want us to fail.

The idea behind small modular reactors is that there will be less transmission loss delivering the power over long distances. Putting the power station close to the endpoint makes a lot of sense.
