Marshall County man sentenced in drunk driving crash that paralyzed passenger

A Marshall County man has been sentenced in connection with a drunk driving crash that left his passenger paralyzed on New Year’s Day 2025.
23-year-old Karzdon McCrammer pleaded guilty Thursday to Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated.
According to court records, McCrammer was sentenced to five years. That includes two years in the Indiana Department of Correction, followed by two years in Marshall County Community Corrections, and one year of probation.
The crash happened early in the morning on January 1, 2025, along Plymouth-LaPorte Trail. Police say McCrammer drove off the roadway and struck a tree.
A 19-year-old passenger suffered severe injuries in the crash and was left paralyzed.
Investigators say McCrammer admitted to drinking alcohol prior to getting behind the wheel.
