Early in-person voting for the May 5 primary election is underway in St. Joseph County, giving residents several opportunities to cast ballots ahead of Election Day.

Voters can begin early voting on Saturday, April 25, with the period continuing through Monday, May 4.

Two locations are available for early voting: the County-City Building at 227 W. Jefferson Blvd. in South Bend and the Mishawaka County Services Building at 219 Lincolnway W. in Mishawaka.

Both sites will be open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In addition, weekend hours are scheduled for Saturday, April 25 and Saturday, May 2 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., along with Sunday hours on April 26 and May 3 from noon to 4 p.m.

The final opportunity for early in-person voting is Monday, May 4, from 8 a.m. to noon.

Voters who do not participate in early voting can cast their ballots on Election Day, Tuesday, May 5, when polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

To vote, individuals must be registered in St. Joseph County and present a valid state or federally issued photo identification.

Mondays: 8 AM – 5 PM

Tuesday-Fridays: 8 AM – 4 PM EST
