South Bend Police are investigating a shooting.

Officers responded around 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, May 3, to the 1000 block of Allen Street, where they found a victim with a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police now say the shooting likely happened in the 3200 block of Lincolnway West, and the victim went to Allen Street for help.

The Violent Crimes Unit is investigating.
