The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles is extending hours at all branches ahead of the primary election, opening May fourth from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and May fifth from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Locations will prioritize ID services, including new and replacement cards, licenses, and permits, to help Hoosiers prepare to vote.

The BMV also offers free state-issued IDs for eligible residents needing identification for voting.

Customers must bring proper documentation, including proof of identity, Social Security number, lawful status, and residency. Expired IDs from after November 2024 may still be used at the polls for identification purposes.
