Illinois man injured in Cass County rollover crash

A 43-year-old Illinois man was seriously injured in a rollover crash in Cass County.

Deputies responded around 5:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, to the area of South River Road and U.S. 12 in Porter Township.

Investigators say the driver, from Mount Prospect, Illinois, was traveling north on South River Road when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle overturned and came to rest on nearby residential property.

The driver was flown by Memorial MedFlight helicopter to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for treatment of injuries.

SEPSA Fire and Ambulance, along with Memorial MedFlight, assisted at the scene.
