Governor Mike Braun has launched a new initiative aimed at helping small business owners plan for the future.

Keep IN, a program led by Indiana’s Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, focuses on succession planning and ownership transitions to help keep local businesses and jobs in the state.

State leaders say nearly 60 percent of Indiana business revenue comes from companies owned by people 55 and older.

A pilot partnership with SMB.co will offer free business valuation and planning tools in select regions.

The state is also partnering with the Indiana Chamber of Commerce to host free succession planning workshops.
