A fire at Grace Community Church in Mishawaka is being blamed on a possible electrical water heater issue.

Firefighters responded on Thursday and say the church’s emergency plan helped everyone get out safely in less than a minute.

Officials also say the area around the water heater had been kept clear, preventing the flames from spreading further.

No injuries were reported.
