Congressman Rudy Yakim has voted in support of veteran’s healthcare and military infrastructure.

The 2nd District Representative cast his “yea” vote in favor of H.R. 8469, the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2027.

Michigan 5th District Congressman Tim Walberg also voted in favor of the legislation.

The legislation fully funds health care and benefits for veterans and makes critical investments in military infrastructure, housing, and VA facility improvements. The Act provides more than $469 billion in total funding, which includes $157 billion in discretionary spending. It also maintains the prohibition on closing Naval Station Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, and upholds Trump administration prohibitions on taxpayer-funded abortion, DEI programs, and sex-rejecting procedures.
