A Goshen man charged in a deadly construction zone crash last year will now face trial later this summer.

48-year-old Julio Fraga is charged with reckless homicide and other offenses tied to an April 2025 hit-and-run crash near Mishawaka Road and Center Drive.

Investigators say Fraga and another driver were speeding through a construction zone when one vehicle lost control, crossed the median and struck another car head-on, killing Rigoberto Barba. Police say Fraga left the scene after the crash.

The Goshen News says during a recent court hearing, Fraga’s attorney requested more time to review evidence in the case.

A judge approved the request, moving the jury trial from June to August 17.
