Rokita announces dismissal of lawsuit over Indiana classroom instruction law

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita announced that the ACLU has dismissed its legal challenge against an Indiana law restricting instruction on human sexuality for students in pre-kindergarten through third grade.
According to Rokita, multiple court rulings favored the state before the case was dropped.
The law bars public school teachers and vendors from providing instruction related to human sexuality to students in those grade levels.
Rokita called the dismissal a victory for parents’ rights and said lawmakers should consider expanding the restrictions to additional grade levels.
The ACLU had challenged the law in court, arguing it was unconstitutional.
