If you’ve been needing to get your pet spayed or neutered, you can now do so affordably.
The Humane Society of Elkhart County says spay and neuter surgeries are now available to the public through the Suzanne George Animal Care Center.
Dog procedures start at $185, while cat surgeries begin at $130. Community cats, including stray or feral cats living outdoors, can be treated for $80.
Executive Director Rob LaRoy says expanding services will help families access affordable care while reducing pet overpopulation locally.
Appointments are available as soon as next week and can be scheduled online at hsec-clinic.org.
