On Wednesday, June 10, around 9:50 p.m., South Bend Police were called to the 2600 block of Mac Arthur Avenue on the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female victim, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was transported to the hospital, where she remains in critical condition at this hour. Through an investigation by the South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit, a suspect was identified and ultimately taken into custody. This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
