A citizen group is challenging plans to expand the proposed Dumont Solar project in St. Joseph County.
The group, No Solar, filed an appeal claiming required easement documents were missing when developer Hexagon submitted its 2024 application.
The group argues the project should not have qualified under older county rules. County officials say the appeal is under legal review.
Commissioner Rafael Morton said the dispute centers on differing interpretations of county and state law.
