A family is safe after a house fire in South Bend’s River Park neighborhood.

Firefighters were called to a home on 35th Street near Mishawaka Avenue late Thursday night, July 16.

They found flames burning in the attic and had the fire under control in about 20 minutes.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators are still working to determine what caused the blaze.
