One person was hurt and one cat died in an early morning house fire in Baugo Township.

Crews were called around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6, to a home in the 56000 block of County Road 1 and had the blaze under control within five minutes.

Officials say one resident escaped through a window and was injured.

Firefighters rescued a second cat and revived it with oxygen, but another cat did not survive.

There’s no word, yet, about the cause of the fire.
