Police are investigating the death of a man from Claypool.

35-year-old Brian Gambill was found dead, early Wednesday night, near the Germany Bridge public access area along the Tippecanoe River in Fulton County.

Deputies were following up on a welfare check when they found Gambill.

The cause of death is under investigation.
