The gates swung open Friday for the 2026 Indiana State Fair, launching 15 days of food, family entertainment, agriculture and new attractions at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

Running through Aug. 23, the fair will feature a mix of longtime traditions and new experiences. Among this year’s additions are the Indiana State Fair Train, the REWIND: A VHS Revival exhibit, an all-new Big Top Circus presented by Bee Window, and a new Wiffle Ball field at Schumacher Stadium in Meijer Family Fun Park.

Visitors can also enjoy expanded 4-H exhibits, animal encounters, live competitions, free concerts on the Hoosier Lottery Free Stage, and 48 new food offerings alongside classic fair favorites.

Fair officials say the event offers more than 200 hours of family entertainment during its run.

Those planning to attend can still save money by purchasing tickets online through Thursday night. Advance tickets offer discounts on admission, parking and Midway wristbands before gate prices take effect Friday.

The Indiana State Fair runs Aug. 7 through Aug. 23 and is closed on Mondays. Gates open daily at 8 a.m.
