Two Elkhart men have been sentenced following a traffic stop that led police to more than 60 grams of cocaine.

33-year-old Lawerence Newborn received a 22-year prison sentence, while 38-year-old Verdell Washington Jr. was sentenced to 25 years, with five years on community corrections and another five on probation.

According to The Goshen News, investigators say officers stopped the vehicle in January after smelling marijuana and later discovered cocaine, a digital scale, and drug packaging materials.
