An Elkhart church is teaming up with a Gary church to help residents still recovering from severe storm damage.

Open Gate Praise & Deliverance Ministries is collecting donations to deliver to Gary this weekend.

The church is asking for nonperishable food, water, flashlights and batteries, toiletries, diapers, baby formula and other essential items.

Pastor Wayne Malone says the goal is to help families who are still dealing with the aftermath of the storms.
