Goshen Community Schools says its finances are stable despite declining enrollment, but some support staff are asking for higher pay.
The proposed 2027 budget includes nearly $55 million for education and $19 million for operations.
Chief Financial Officer Robert Evans said the district has enough reserves to manage enrollment declines.
Bus drivers, however, say their $16-an-hour pay isn’t keeping up with the cost of living.
Evans said the district recently increased bus driver wages and does not expect to raise transportation or after-school fees.
