A Decatur man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday morning in Cass County.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called around 7:15 a.m. to M-60 west of Oak Grove Road in Jefferson Township, near Cassopolis.

Investigators say the 59-year-old rider was traveling west when he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed.

He was taken by ambulance to the Central Cass Fire Department and then flown to Memorial Hospital in South Bend. Authorities did not release his condition.

It is not known whether he was wearing a helmet. Factors that led to the crash remain under investigation.
