A Milroy contractor is facing a felony theft charge after allegedly taking 46-thousand dollars from a client and spending some of the money on personal expenses.
Larry Hilty is accused of accepting the money in 2023 to build a structure in Kosciusko County. Investigators say the project was repeatedly delayed and, as of September, no work had been completed.
Court documents allege Hilty spent thousands of dollars on gambling, restaurants, sporting events, travel and other personal expenses while the project remained unfinished.
Hilty is charged with theft and is scheduled to appear in court November 16th.
