An Elkhart County jury trial has been delayed for a man accused of leaving a crash.

Police say Joseph Bailey struck a moped in August, killing driver James Thoman and critically injuring another passenger.

The Goshen News says investigators matched a headlight to Bailey’s vehicle.

Bailey told police he knew he had crashed but left because he was scared.

His trial is February 1.
