South Bend Schools superintendent announces retirement

South Bend Community School Corporation Superintendent Mansour Eid will retire at the end of the current school year.
According to the South Bend Tribune, a district spokesperson confirmed Eid’s retirement will take effect June 30th, 2027.
Eid became interim superintendent in February 2025. The school board later extended his contract through the 2026-27 school year.
The district has not announced who will succeed him.
