Steuben County officials are answering questions about a potential casino ahead of a vote on the November ballot.
A recent public forum gave residents a chance to learn more about the proposal, including its potential impact on jobs, taxes, infrastructure, zoning and tourism.
June Julien, executive director of the Steuben County Tourism Bureau, said officials wanted to clear up misinformation before voters head to the polls Nov. 3.
Officials estimate a casino could employ about 800 people, with most jobs not requiring specialized training.
They also pointed to additional temporary jobs during construction.
