The Humane Society of Elkhart County is inviting the community to celebrate Halloween with its animals through reverse trick-or-treating.

Visitors can bring an unopened package of dog or cat treats that has not expired. The shelter will have buckets outside the animals’ kennels, where guests can leave a treat for a pet they’d like to meet.

The activity is available every day this week leading up to Halloween at the shelter, located at 54687 County Road 19 in Bristol. The shelter is open Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
