A February murder trial remains on the calendar.

The Goshen News says Jose Ortiz Diaz is accused of killing his roommate, Margarito Estrada Hernandez, and hiding his body in a Christmas tree box.

Police say they found the box during a welfare investigation in April.

According to court documents, Ortiz Diaz told investigators the two argued before an altercation.

His jury trial is set for February 1, with a status conference January 7.
