A Mishawaka man is accused of raping an ex-girlfriend earlier this month, but that accusation unearthed far more.

Daishawn Thomas is also accused of having sex with a 12-year-old girl and having pictures of child pornography, according to our reporting partners at ABC 57.

Thomas is accused of picking up an ex-girlfriend on Sept. 18, taking her to his house, and raping her. As police investigated his cell phone, naked photos of underage children were found on it, according to a probable cause affidavit.

That’s when Thomas allegedly admitted to having sex with a 12-year-old girl between Nov. 2014 and March 2015. However, he says he had consensual sex with his ex-girlfriend, according to ABC 57.
