Amber Pasztor will get her psychiatric evaluation next week.

The Fort Wayne mother accused of murdering her two children following an Amber Alert being issued will see two psychiatric experts: one each in Elkhart and Fort Wayne, according to WSBT.

Her attorneys are planning an insanity defense for Pasztor.

Pasztor admitted to Elkhart police she kidnapped 7-year-old Liliana Hernandez and 6-year-old Rene Pasztor on September 26th from their grandparent’s home, drove them to Elkhart, and smothered them.

She also reportedly admitted to murdering Frank Macomber, her neighbor, and stealing his car before kidnapping the children. She has not yet been formally charged in his death.

Elkhart County Prosecutor Curtis Hill, before winning the Attorney General election, announced is seeking a sentence of life without parole for Pasztor.
