One dead, three hurt in rural Cass County, Michigan crash

A Middlebury man is dead after two vehicles collided in rural Cass County.

The crash happened a little after noon Sunday on M-40 south of Prang St. near Bair Lake, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

A vehicle being driven by a Millersburg, Indiana teen lost control and crossed the enter line, hitting another vehicle being driven by a Grand Rapids, Michigan woman.

Both drivers and a passenger in the second vehicle were taken to Three Rivers Hospital. A passenger in the first car, 18-year-old Matthew Miller of Middlebury, Indiana was killed at the scene.

The crash is still being investigated.
