Possible vehicle involved in hit-and-run death near Simonton Lake identified

The vehicle suspected to be involved in the hit-and-run crash which killed an Edwardsburg man of Thursday, Dec. 22, has been identified and information on the suspected driver has been given to authorities, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.

Timothy Mabry, 51, was walking along County Road 11 near Aqua Dr. around 5:50 a.m. on Thursday when he was struck by a pick-up truck, according to the sheriff’s department.

As of 10 p.m. on Friday, there was no word of any charges filed.

The sheriff’s department is continuing their investigation.
