The City of South Bend has entered into a new partnership with the Latin American Chamber of Commerce in St. Joseph County.

The idea is to spur small local business growth especially for gender and ethnically underrepresented business owners and help them to do business with the city as a contractor, according to a press release.

Aspiring and existing small business owners will have an opportunity to join an eight week seminar session with local experts. It will cover topics like starting a small business, conducting a business feasibility study, preparing a business plan, small business policy, employment law and several other topics.

The first seminar is set for next week on Feb. 13.

For more information about becoming a participant, please contact Juan Hernandez at (574) 217-7397 or jmherdez23@gmail.com.
