A Bremen man was killed in a crash at Beech and Kern Roads in St. Joseph County.

The collision happened around 2 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, according to a news release from St. Joseph County Police.

Officers, along with Madison Township Firefighters and other first responders were called to the intersection of Beech Rd. and Kern Rd. where they found the only occupant of the vehicle, Eric Faux, 32, of Bremen.

He was transported to a local hospital, but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Preliminary investigation suggests that Faux had been southbound on Beech, and lost control of his vehicle as he went through the intersection at Kern Road, according to the news release.

The vehicle left the roadway and crashed.

St. Joseph County Police crash investigators believe that speed was a factor, as well as alcohol. Faux was not wearing a seat belt, the news release stated.
