A South Bend man has been charged with five counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Each charge 32-year-old Brendan Eiler is facing is a level 5 felony, meaning he’s facing up to 30 years in prison if convicted on each count.

Court documents show the St. Joseph County Cyber Crimes Unit investigated Eiler since last October and found on five occasions between October 2016 and this month that Eiler allegedly possessed videos depicting child pornography.

Eiler was still in St. Joseph County Jail as of Friday afternoon on $30,000 bond. If he posts $3,000 bail, he’s been ordered to not have contact with any children under the age of 18. He will be formally arraigned Monday afternoon.
