Motorcyclist killed in crash on State Road 15 near Warsaw

A 58-year-old man on a motorcycle was killed when he collided with a vehicle.

A trooper with the Indiana State Police saw the collision happen in the 4800 block of State Road 15 around 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13.

The trooper was following two vehicles that were slowing for traffic in a construction zone when he witnessed a the driver of a Chevrolet Impala attempt to turn into a driveway and enter the path of motorcycle that was traveling north on State Road 15, according to a news release from Indiana State Police.

The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the Impala, causing the victim to be thrown from the bike, according to state police,

The driver of the motorcycle is identified as Alton Stump. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

The driver of the Impala was not injured in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
