Cassopolis man seriously hurt when motorcycle hits deer

A Cassopolis man on a motorcyle was seriously hurt after his bike crashed into a deer.

The crash happened a little before noon Wednesday on M-62 near Pine Lake Street just north of Edwardsburg, according to the Elkhart Truth.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says 59-year-old man was not wearing a helmet and crashed onto the roadway after hitting the deer. He was airlifted to Memorial Hospital for treatment.
