More details about South Bend shooting that left two women hurt

New details released about a shooting in South Bend in which two people were hit by gunfire.

Officers were called to the 1100 block of East Madison Street late Monday night. Witnesses told police a large group of people had gathered outside of a home and someone shot into the crowd, which then scattered.

The victims hit by the bullets are two 17 and 18 year-old girls. They were taken to the hospital. There injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.

Evidence gathered includes a vehicle with gunfire damage that was found at the hospital.

There’s no word on if any suspects are in custody.
