An Elkhart man died in a crash on M-51 in Cass County near Indian Lake Road on Sunday night.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says 53 year-old Howard Payton of Elkhart was fatally struck by a vehicle driven by a minor who was treated and released.
It’s unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor and the case remains under investigation.
