90 year record low temperature shattered in South Bend

That’s what you may have felt when you walked out the door in South Bend Tuesday morning. The National Weather Service declared Tuesday morning’s -15 the new record low in South Bend. The previous record was -11 set back in 1928.

ABC 57’s Emily Kennedy tells us that, while wind chills could hit as low as -30 this week, there will be plenty of sunshine Tuesday. She also warns us, though, that more snow is on the way Wednesday and that will activate the lake effect snow machine Thursday into Friday morning.
