The Fat Cap Smoked Meats restaurant in Roseland had to deal with a brief fire Thursday morning. They’re located just north of Douglas Road on U.S. 933/North Dixie Highway.

Crews responded to the call shortly before 9 A.M. and found a fire that was contained within the smoker. Traffic was blocked on the major north-south artery briefly Thursday morning while crews quickly put out the fire and cleaned up the scene.

The decision was made to close Fat Cap on Thursday due to the fire.

There were no reports of any injuries.
