Man killed in wrong way crash on U.S. 31 identified

One person was killed, and another was hospitalized after a two vehicle crash on U.S. 31.

The collision happened around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, north of the St. Joseph-Marshall County line, according to WNDU.

Police received a call about a vehicle traveling south in the northbound lanes. They arrived on scene to find the two-vehicle crash, WSBT reported.

The driver who was struck, 55-year-old Steven Pletcher, died. The 52-year-old Plymouth man who police say drove the wrong way was airlifted to the hospital for treatment.
