An Elkhart man has been sentenced to 64 years in prison for killing his ex-wife’s new lover.
Scotty Irvin was sentenced Thursday over a year after he killed Mark Huber and dumped his body in the Kingsbury Fish and Wildlife Area in LaPorte County.
Huber went missing after he was dropped off for work at the Kercher/Dierdorff intersection in Goshen and wasn’t there when it was time for him to be picked up. A local utility company employee found Huber’s body three days later in a sewer line at the fish and wildlife area.
Huber was killed with a gunshot wound to the head.
