The two bald eagle eggs at St. Patrick’s County park have hatched and two little eaglets have made their debut.
As spotted on a live camera over the nest, one of the little eaglets could be seen under its mother Monday morning.
The second egg started to hatch Monday morning and, by the time the afternoon drive happened, a second eaglet emerged.
The normal incubation time for eagle eggs is 35 days, and we passed that a couple of days ago.
This is the first time we’ve seen the hatchings take place since ND-LEEF installed a new camera over the next last fall.
