It was a Valparaiso man who died in a crash on the Indiana Toll Road in western St. Joseph County on Monday morning.
Police say 48-year-old Richard McNamara died after he struck the back of a semi that was merging into traffic from the shoulder of the road near the 71 mile marker.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
Police are still investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
