Hit-and-run in South Bend leaves woman in critical condition

An Auburn woman is in critical condition after being hit by a car in South Bend Wednesday.

St. Joseph County officials say the 29-year-old was trying to cross West Western Avenue in front of Family Dollar when she was hit by a dark-colored vehicle.

It’s believed the vehicle was a black SUV heading west on Western. The driver sped away from the scene.

Police are asking for your help finding the hit-and-run driver. Call the St. Joseph FACT Team at 574-259-2966 with information.
