The athletic director for Adams High School is accusing the entire district of racial discrimination.

Bill Groves is a longtime high school athletic director and coach. he has filed a federal complaint against South Bend Community School Corporation, accusing the district of discriminating against him when school officials hired Seabe Gavin to become the athletic director for the entire district.

In the complaint, Groves says Gavin, an African-American man, has far less coaching, teaching, and administrative experience than Groves, a white man.

The race discrimination claim is in the hands of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. School officials told the South Bend Tribune they deny the Gavin hire was based on race.

I suspect that the Adams HS athletic director is absolutely correct in his charges.

In the complaint, Groves says Gavin, an African-American man, has far less coaching, teaching, and administrative experience than Groves, a white man. If this is the case, how DO you explain hiring someone LESS qualified?
