LimeBike has found success in South Bend, but critics say the system could be more efficient. Some high school students in the area are exploring ways to make that a reality.

WNDU reports ten teams of students from Penn, Mishawaka and Riley High Schools have been studying ways LimeBike can operate more efficiently. They made their presentations Tuesday to LimeBike during a conference at the Studebaker Building, part of the 2018 LimeBike Innovation Challenge.

There were 72 teams competing in the challenge at the beginning, all vying for a prize that will be awarded to the top three groups.

Each will earn a paid internship with The Sibley Center.
