Lions Park Beach closed due to bacteria in the water

Beach goers are advised to stay out of the water at Lions Park Beach.

The City of St. Joseph has closed the beach, which is located just south of Silver Beach, beacuse of high levels of bacteria, according to WSBT.

Testing of water samples is expected to get underway.

The park portion of the beach is still remains open, WSBT reported.
